In keeping with our commitment to deliver comprehensive healthcare services to vulnerable and underserved populations, we journeyed to Gbonyin Local Government Area of Ekiti State in partnership with Pro-Health International, where we provided five days of intensive healthcare interventions at the Ode-Ekiti General Hospital from April 22nd – 26th, 2025.
It is heartwarming to note that a total of 2,473 patients were attended to with 6,765 medical interventions provided.
Key highlights of this medical outreach include:
✨️ Consultations: 1,183 patients attended to
✨️ Eye Care Services: 573 patients attended to, with 312 glasses issued
✨️ Eye Surgeries: 88 successful surgeries performed with particular emphasis on cataract extractions
✨️ Surgeries: 64 general and specialized surgical procedures conducted
✨️ Pharmacy Services: 1,491 patients received free medications
✨️ Laboratory Services: 553 patients underwent1,893 laboratory investigations
✨️ Dental Care: 210 patients benefited from 908 dental procedures, including extractions and cleanings.
✨️ Health Promotion Activities: 355 individuals participated in health education sessions, with distributions of
* 81 mosquito nets
* 74 medicated soaps
* 144 toothbrushes
* 58 fortified food packages

The smiles on patients’ faces and the many personal stories of healing and hope we witnessed are a powerful reminder of the life-changing impact of collective service.
